Message short story --very few Z's are at the RWHP limits of 2.5 inch exhaust ..that being said I haven't seen any dyno's that say you will make less rwhp with a 3 inch. B+B are the only ones who do it and I have had difficulty getting straight answers from them when I tried. I do know that Specialty Z will dyno flow a 3 inch exhaust in the near future now that Z's are getting into the higher rwhp bands. Will it produce a difference / shift the power band / or decrease power ? I don't know. I do know that some cars here have a 3 inch - Chris(NJ) and that Kyle has one on his race car among others.

I have to imagine that a 3 inch will produce less backpressure on the turbine wheel in the turbo and allow more peak power ..but I could be wrong.

If Kyle has it on his car - It's good enough for me is my moto
